My All-Time Favorites from Amazon
Just a few of my favorite things from the vast universe of Amazon

BEAUTY
Although I prefer to buy most of my skincare and makeup in person and in stores, there are a few dependable items I have found on Amazon. The trick to buying beauty on Amazon is checking who is the seller on the item. Here’s why:
Let’s say you find a great product for sale on Amazon. Let’s say it’s SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic (one of my favorite high-end skincare products that I use every day.) Guess what? SkinCeuticals does not sell on Amazon. It never will be. In fact, the brand is even very particular about where they sell even in-person.
If you do happen to search it on Amazon and find it, you’ll see that even if it’s listed with the Brand: SkinCeuticals. When you click on that it does not bring you to an actual brand page. So, don’t buy that crap on Amazon. You never know what is actually in the bottle. That’s scary.
Instead, buy from trusted brands. Here are a few that I love:
DERMADOCTOR Bakuchiol (Retinol Alternative for Sensitive Skin)
Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink
Vital Proteins Collagen (goes in my coffee every single morning)
HOME
Whether it’s been ordering last minute bathroom sconces when our other lighting didn’t come in on time or finding my Pottery Barn dupe chandelier for our bedroom, Amazon has saved the day more than once in the lighting department. Here are some of my favorite lights:
Another thing I like to look for on Amazon are trendy home decor items that I don’t have time to find in-person in stores. Here are those current favorites:
Faux Greenery:
Books I’ve bought:
Down to Earth Book (for Stacking)
Creative Spaces Book (for Stacking)
Books I want:
Essential Oil Diffusers and Scents for the Home:
Large Essential Diffuser (Can diffuse for 8 hours)
Small Diffuser (Only diffuses for 2 hours – perfect before bedtime)
Rugs:
(Two dogs and two kids have made us go through more rugs than I would like to admit)
Large Traditional 100% Polyester Rug (Thank you to Meg Minicky, my Interior Designer friend, for recommending 100% Polyester. It’s a lifesaver.)
KIDS:
It’s currently August 2022 and thanks to Amazon Prime Day, I have most of my Christmas shopping done for the kids. I’ll spare you the LOL links since those sales are likely over. But, here are some tried and true can’t-live-without kids’ items that I adore:
Huge Toy Bins (that I store under the coffee table)
Disposable Placemats (for when we dine out)
That’s a good start for now. Let me know what you think and if you decide to buy anything!
Cheers,
Shannon
